SupportPal 3.2.0 Released

Support Portal  »  Announcements  »  Viewing Article

Today we're releasing version 3.2.0, a minor release in the 3.x series. The full changelog can be seen in our release notes.

Notable improvements

Facebook Channel

Facebook recently released new permissions for accessing page data. This release updates the permissions used in SupportPal enabling new apps to proceed with App Review. Those of you who have already been through App Review have been automatically migrated to the new permissions by Facebook on June 1 - no changes are required on your behalf.

The channel will also now import GIFs, stickers, images, videos and attachments so you can converse better with your customers.

Other notable improvements:

  • Operator panel search window is much larger for easier reading
  • Operator text editor toolbar is now sticky so it's easily accessible when composing long messages
  • Ability to resize images in the text editor.

Notes on upgrading

As a reminder, we switched to the Semantic Versioning scheme from 3.0.0. This release is considered a minor release, where all changes are backwards compatible so downtime will be minimal. For steps on upgrading, please read our upgrade guide.

If you have custom templates, these should always be kept up to date. There are several bug fixes in both the frontend and operator templates in this release. For steps on merging these changes, please read our templates guide.
