We are pleased to announce the stable release of ArcticDesk v1.3.0, which includes numerous bug fixes, enhancements and new features based on your feedback and suggestions over the past months. The release marks a major milestone for ArcticDesk, being by far our most stable version to date. The full changelog for this release can be found at the end of this announcement.

We expect this to be the last major release in the v1 series as we’re excited to announce that work has already began on the v2 series. We hope to give more information about this new direction for ArcticDesk early next year. Below we describe a few of the key new features that have been introduced in this release.

New reports section

We’ve completely rewritten the whole reports section, introducing a new framework that makes it easy to write your own useful reports with just a few lines of code. We’ve added a few new reports to begin with, but encourage users to write their own reports around what is most important to them.

International characters support for SEO links, Persian language included

We now support foreign characters in our SEO friendly links, making ArcticDesk even more useful for our international customers. We’ve also included Persian as a language as part of the default installation, along with English, Portuguese-Br and Spanish as included before. Please note that you will need to update your .htaccess file to make use of the new international characters support.

Users can now CC contacts to their tickets

Your users will now be able to CC other email addresses to their tickets, making it easier for them to manage their communications with your company. This is in addition to the existing sub users feature, which would allow other people to view and reply to the tickets too.

New WHMCS integration

We’ve developed a new version of the WHMCS integration which has a better design and fixes a number of issues that existed with the previous version. All source code is available, so you can edit it as required.
