We are pleased to announce the first maintenance release in the SupportPal 2.0 series.

In this release, we have fixed the minor issues that we and our users have encountered since the launch. We have also added a number of improvements and new features, such as the choice of using Amazon S3 for file storage.

Starting with this release, we will now be publishing the differences in language files and template views between each version. The changes can be found in our release notes.

Approaching a month since the SupportPal and v2 stable launch, we have been thrilled by how well it has been received. For those users still using v1, our migration service is still available that takes the hassle out of switching over to v2. For more information, please contact us. As for all of our owned license customers who haven’t renewed their support and updates yet, now is the best time to take advantage of the new version. The increased renewal price will come in effect from the 15th of June.

For more details about this release and the full changelog, please read the release notes.

Update (5:00pm GMT): The system requirements checking has been improved in the release after some users experienced problems upgrading when using 777 file permissions. It will now check to ensure all the directories (including those dynamically generated) have the correct permissions at all times. There is no need to do anything if you have already updated your system.
