Today, we are excited to share with you the first beta release of version 2. This release is the culmination of a year of hard work, and marks a significant milestone in the development of ArcticDesk.
Version 2 is a complete rewrite, with previous components carefully redesigned and many new and useful features introduced. Over the past couple of months we have shared details of some of these changes in our preview blog posts. However, there are many more that we have kept quiet, for example, localised email templates and two factor authentication for operators.
The beta release is feature-complete, however there will be some further changes to the templates and language files during the beta period. For example, the operator template is not yet fully responsive. In the coming weeks we will be getting in touch with our v1 translators once the language files are finalised. We will be releasing our first v1 to v2 migration script and updated WHMCS integration in a few weeks along with a second beta release.
We greatly value your feedback and, where possible, will look to use it to improve the software. With this in mind, for the duration of the beta we have included a simple feedback option allowing you to easily submit comments and bug reports without leaving the app.
