Simplified Updates

Future SupportPal updates are just a click away. A notification will let you know when an update is available, and the new System Update page will handle the whole process of updating the software - without ever leaving the operator panel.

Backup and Restore

For a long time, customers have been left to their own devices to generate help desk backups - an approach which could be error-prone and unreliable. This release includes a command line interface which allows you to safely backup and restore your help desk.

Web Socket Support

Web sockets enable fast, real-time communication between the web server and client. In this release, we've bundled a web socket server and also made it possible to use Pusher's SaaS service. We believe web sockets drastically improve our web based notifications system and enable us to implement more real-time functionality in the future.

Other Notable Improvements

Improved Account Security
A new security settings page has been added under the operator account settings menu. This page includes an active sessions tab listing devices which have logged in to your account recently. The option to revoke sessions you don't recognise is available.

Improved Email Auto-Response Detection
Emails from mailer-daemon, or with an empty Return-Path header, are now marked as auto responses to prevent bounce back loops.

Improved Table Design
Many of the tables displayed in the operator panel have been polished to reduce the amount of unnecessary whitespace on the screen. Table ordering, pagination, and search are now displayed in the actions bar at the top of the page.
