We are pleased to announce the stable release of ArcticDesk v1.3.1, a maintenance release in the v1.3.x branch. The new version contains numerous bug fixes, enhancements and new features based on your feedback and reports since the last major release. Below we describe a few of the key changes that have been introduced in this release, and the full changelog can be found at the end of this announcement.

As mentioned before, we have begun working on the v2 series and we will now begin to dedicate more time to it. We are planning to start posting some previews in the coming months - stay tuned!

New SimpleAuth automatic authentication method

Our new authentication method, dubbed ‘SimpleAuth’, provides an easy way to automatically log in users from trusted third party scripts. The functionality also allows you to redirect users to a link of your choice. Full details can be found at the link below.

More languages - German and Turkish added

We are continuing to expand the multilingual nature of ArcticDesk by adding two more languages this version: German and Turkish. Language strings have been included for both the operator and frontend area.

Improved HTML email parsing

In the last version we extended our email parsing support beyond plain text to allow HTML emails. In this update, we’ve further refined our support for this such that more HTML is retained safely and the content is displayed as close to how it was originally intended.
